Keryn Tsimitakopoulos is an Associate Director within the International Plays and Basins, Upstream Solutions division at S&P Global Commodity Insights. Based in Cape Town, South Africa, Keryn is responsible for delivering basin-centric technical, commercial and strategic insights across the EMEA region with a particular focus on African basins. Keryn brings a diverse perspective gained from over 20 years’ experience across different sectors. Prior to joining S&P Global she worked for Tullow Oil PLC where she contributed towards successful exploration projects with basin opening discoveries in Kenya’s East African Rift; thereafter supporting frontier exploration campaigns onshore Cote d’Ivoire along the West African transform margin. She has also held technical exploration and production roles, with underground mining experience at Samancor Western Chrome Mines and alluvial diamond resource development with De Beers Marine Pty. Ltd. offshore South Africa’s Orange Subbasin. Keryn has a Master of Science in Geology degree from the University of Cape Town.
