Stephen Hackett

Stephen Hackett joined Standard Chartered Bank in March 2011 as Head of Structured Finance, Americas.  In addition to maintaining his original role, Stephen is now the Head of Corporate Finance, Americas. Steve is responsible for managing the Leveraged & Structured Solutions, Project & Export Finance, Structured Finance and M&A Teams for the Americas. Stephen sits on several Management Teams within Standard Chartered Bank and holds board positions on a number of the bank’s subsidiaries in the Americas. During the period 1997-1999 Stephen was Managing Director and Head of Lease Advisory Europe for UBS. From 1999 to 2002, Steve was a Managing Director in charge of the Structured Finance group at Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein, based in New York. Stephen was subsequently appointed Partner at Global Capital Finance, a boutique advisory firm in 2002, before returning to London with the Royal Bank of Scotland in 2005 as Managing Director and Head of Structured Finance Europe. Stephen began his career in the UK with the National Westminster Bank where he held numerous junior and managerial positions before joining UBS.
