• After 6 years of local inactivity, drove re-establishment of SBM’s Construction activities in Brazil trough building/recruiting the team, framing and setting contract in place with EPC contractors/Yards in order to kick-off on time 2 FPSO Topside Module fabrication projects (20k ton). After kick-off, responsible to deliver the Brazilian local content scope of FPSO Almirante Tamandaré (500 million USD CAPEX)
• Supported the technology/design development and started the fabrication in China of SBM’s Pilot Floating Foundations Structures for 3 Offshore Wind Turbines (3 x 8.4 MW)
• Improved lead time to client delivery of CALM type offshore terminals from 12 months to 6 months and reduced internal costs in 23% by developing a standardization program through design of prefabricated components enabling faster final assembly of the product after client award. Also put in place frame agreement with key suppliers to enable execution
• Planned and executed the modules offshore heavy-lifting, integration, commissioning, and start-up of 2 FPSO’s (Cidade de Márica & Cidade de Saquarema) in record time: 5 months from vessel arrival to sail-away + 45 days to start production. After production start the 2 units remained for 2 years within top oil producers in Brazilian waters with record uptime (>99%)
