Kjetil Solbraekke is the CEO of DBO Energy – a private upstream oil and gas company focusing on mature offshore fields in Brazil.

Kjetil has a broad experience from leading positions in the Oil and Gas business over 25 years, with CEO upstream experience from Norway and Brazil, as well as extensive experience in M&A, Corporate finance, and Governmental relations. He has been responsible for change management processes and providing new strategic direction for government, national companies, private and listed companies in Norway and abroad. In Statoil Hydro he led Peregrino-acquisition team and later value capture efforts. He has worked internationally in UK and Brazil over the last 15 years, and has previously held the following key positions :

• Senior Vice President South America Rystad Energy
• CEO Panoro Energy (prev Norse Energy) and SINTEF do Brasil
• SVP Statoil and Norsk Hydro
• CFO Norsk Hydro
• Assistant Director General in the Ministry of Petroleum and Energy in Norway

Kjetil is an Economist (Cand Oecon) from University of Oslo 1989.
