Matheus Varanda is a senior specialist for the Upstream Costs and Supply Chain team at S&P Global Commodity Insights. He focuses on E&P activity, market fundamentals, market segments demand, supply capacity, and cost drivers in Latin America. Previously, Mr. Varanda worked as assistant controller at Ocyan, as upstream specialist consultant at Deloitte, and as consultant at the partnership between UN-Habitat and Rio de Janeiro’s City Hall, where he led projects aimed at capturing the O&G industry’s potential for the city.
Mr. Varanda holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and a specialization in O&G both from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro.
