On top of the valuable insights shared by industry leaders during the sessions, it was an absolute pleasure to see the exchange of insights and engaging discussions during the networking breaks, which added immense value to the overall discourse. Engineering Future-Ready FPSOs with Petrobras - Márcia Gusmão, General Manager, Surface Systems Engineering, Petrobras
Márcia shared the oil giant’s upcoming FPSO projects for the next 5 years and looked at challenges and solutions in integrating lower GHG emission solutions in next-generation FPSO design and build while discussing finding the right balance to achieve project objectives when comparing alternatives during concept selection.
Driving Efficiency and Innovation in FPSO Projects - Gilles Lamerie, Group Subcontract Director, SBM Offshore
Gilles shared an overview of SBM Offshore’s Fast4Ward concept and benefits, looking at key success factors and challenges during implementation and ongoing innovation that involves adopting new technologies and feedback-driven improvements for continuous optimization.
Project Execution Strategies to Deliver Long-Lasting FPSOs On-time and On-Budget - Ellen M. P. Erichsen, FPSO Manager, BM-C-33 Development Project, Equinor
Ellen drew from her experience in managing the BM-C-33 FPSO project and shared insights on evaluating fit-for-purpose execution models, de-risking execution through front-end loading and exploring new ways to incorporate sustainability in FPSO projects
Audience Profiles
FPSO World Congress was attended by a healthy mix of Oil & Gas Producers, FPSO Operators, EPCs & Shipyards, and other institutions involved in FPSO project development. An increased proportion of attendance by Oil & Gas Producers such as Shell, ExxonMobil, Chevron etc. highlights the importance of collaboration between different stakeholders in a project lifecycle.
A strong representation from Asia highlights the region's potential in oil production. Key players within Europe and US remains to stay as cross continent projects are aplenty in the market.
1 in 5 delegates hold C-level / Director / VP level titles, highlighting the strong caliber of our FPSO community. This year saw an increased in participation by Marine Engineers and Naval Architects as we explored project case studies with several FPSO experts.
