Rei is the Global Head of Digital & Analytics at MODEC, stationed in MODEC Singapore after his successful tenure in MODEC do Brasil. With over 16 years of professional experience in management consulting, Oil & Gas, and Digital Transformation, Rei holds a Master of Mechanical Engineering from Kyoto University, along with aerospace engineering studies in an exchange program at UCLA. His career began with 4 years of experience in strategy and operational excellence at a consulting firm, followed by 3 years in project finance of FPSO charter projects. At MODEC do Brasil, Rei assumed co-lead of the offshore operations excellence initiative under the business transformation. Over the next 4 years, he led the digitalization covering operation and maintenance of 9 vessels of MODEC's fleet. In the past 3 years, Rei has not only overseen the global digital & analytics efforts but also started a new team in MODEC Singapore, which operates in the EPCI arena. In addition to covering Operational Technology and Information Management, he and his team has been developing in-house solutions utilizing various AI technologies, including Generative AI, to significantly enhance the productivity of EPCI and O&M activities across the MODEC group.
